WINDOW FLICKS: BIG SCREEN MOVIES FROM YOUR BALCONY

WINDOW FLICKS: BIG SCREEN MOVIES FROM YOUR BALCONY

While online movie streams have been a savior for many these past few months, we still miss the communal experience of going to the cinema. Window Flicks, a new initiative that lets you and your neighbors watch a film right from your windows and balconies, is bringing that shared feeling back, and helping local cinemas in the process. Got a free wall visible from your building? To transform it into a giant projection screen, all you need to do is send your address, contact information and a photo of the wall and Window Flicks will take care of everything, from the projector right down to the popcorn, and they’ll help you spread the word with flyers for your neighbors too. The selection of subtitled films (audio coming soon) has something for everyone, with animated biopic “Loving Vincent” and family favorite “Shaun the Sheep” part of the lineup. Screenings can be arranged free of charge, with donations to the Fortsetzung Folgt campaign welcome. Time to gather your neighbors for some cozy open-air viewing.
