YOGA NOW — REPLENISH YOUR ENERGY IN A HIDDEN OASIS

YOGA NOW — REPLENISH YOUR ENERGY IN A HIDDEN OASIS

When we do yoga, we want to escape from the fast pace of everyday life and make more time for ourselves — at least for the length of a course. Yoga Now wants your time out to extend beyond Shavasana, and into your daily life under the slogan: “What’s your yoga?” Jan Herzberg founded the studio in July 2017 to offer yoga for everyone, with styles ranging from Jivamukti and Ashtanga to Yin Yoga, and teachers taking a free approach to designing their classes. I attended a morning Ashtanga course and really enjoyed the light-flooded room and the unexpected tranquility before the Asanas commenced — after walking through two rear courtyards and up several flights of stairs, the hustle and bustle of Kreuzberg is quickly forgotten. Most courses at Yoga Now are designed for both beginners and advanced students, with the exercises are adapted to the level of individual participants. You will be challenged, but not overwhelmed, and you will definitely feel rested after. Plans to extend the attic into a kitchen and roof terrace made for meditation whilst overlooking the rooftops of Kreuzberg are currently in the works — in the meantime, you can find a view to your inner self during a free meditation session on Sundays. Namaste.
