Zsa Zsa & Loui is my new favorite café. It’s perfect for a late after-party breakfast, a simple lunch or as a starting point of a Neukölln night. This small new location opened by Hyun Wanner, one of the three owners of Kimchi Princess and Soju, and his wife Karina, is a café and bar in one offering sandwiches and bar classics. Try the “Wise Guy” if you fancy a sandwich filled with eggplant, Scamorza cheese and olive paté. The “Vitello Tonnate” version interprets the Italian classic in a crunchy fashion. All sandwiches are served with salad or fries with homemade ketchup. Everything is made fresh. The bread gets a massage with olive oil and herbs before being turned into a crusty sin. Besides the yummy food and fine ingredients, it’s the love for details what makes Zsa Zsa & Loui so special. I love the cute seatings indoor and out; finally a Neukölln-based restaurant with visions that go beyond vintage sofas. A truly lovely addition to Richardstrasse – from high noon to late night.
