Soft visions, dinner ceremonies, morning rituals: here’s what could unfold for you this weekend amid patterned rugs, fermented rice, and live sets. Here are CC’s Calendar tips for the last weekend of the summer. In Prenzlauer Berg, a warm, inviting gathering space opens for the weekend (18–20.09.2025): Beyza Nur of Wild Heart Free Soul and Samira of Limala invite you to a three-day Ruglet Bazar, where Anatolian kilims and Moroccan carpets stack up, their stories visibly interacting. Both work closely with family-run businesses and artisans, making tradition tangible through thread and color. Alongside the handwoven pieces, expect mint tea, Turkish sweets, and a soundtrack of 70s Moroccan funk & disco. Meanwhile, Reiko Kanazawa is hosting two special evenings at mimi ferments (20–21.09.) blending ritual and pleasure. Ancient Japanese ceremonies mark seasonal transitions, brought to life at the Equinox Art Dinner: an installation of curtains and mirrors, a short performance by poet and singer Pegelia Gold, and a multi-course menu featuring fermented foods with regional ingredients. From koji cheese to elderflower amazake ice cream, everything is as surprising as it is deliberate. Accompany your meal with housemade drinks like Doburoku (sake with fine rice particles) or Koji-cha(fermented rice tea). If you’re wandering through Kreuzberg on Saturday morning (20.09.), follow the house beats and scent of fresh coffee to Café Westberlin, where the fourth edition of our Croissant Sessions kicks off.
Together with Coffee Week Berlin and FOMO Berlin, we’re celebrating Saturday morning with fine coffee, good company, and light day-party vibes. Luca Nova and SvP provide house beats ideal for starting the day. Early birds will get a slice of Croissant Pie on the house, a sweet extra reason to kick off your Saturday with us! And how do we transition from coffee cups to wine glasses? Just around the corner, Boii Boii is hosting its own ritual on Saturday (20.09.). For the third edition of Wines from the Block, wine shop Suff will be pouring its favorite selections, accompanied by a live set from Beck. Snack on homemade Thai bites in between — perfect for sharing. On Sunday (21.09.), van Hofen in Neukölln invites you to Liquid & Solid, a workshop where wine flows and jewelry takes shape. Jewelry designer Carolin Dielerwill demonstrate a special lost-wax casting technique, demonstrating how wax forms are later transformed into silver. While the van Hofen team pours selected natural wines, tailored to your taste. A hands-on experience for both tools and wine glasses! Again in Kreuzberg, Ember returns with its series of convivial dinners. Where exactly? In the glasshouse, on the rooftop, at sunset. Over two evenings, enjoy Communal Dining with three courses using local and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. The twist: tables and plates are shared. It’s all about tasting, discovering, and enjoying how food brings people together. Expect an intimate, communal feast. The first event is already sold out; the second takes place next Friday (26.09.)!
