The Dutch eyewear company Ace & Tate gets things right: the brand can positively smell trends, then transform them without further ado into elegant classics. Its no-frills production process assures fair prices, which has helped Ace & Tate blossom into a local crowd favorite in no time at all. But until now, one thing has been missing: a long-term home in Berlin. For a while, the Dutch eyewear royalty shuffled restlessly from pop-up store to pop-up store, always on the go. But starting tomorrow (Fri 26.05.2016), Ace & Tate has permanent new digs on the Alte Schönhauser Strasse. Teaming up with New Tendency to create a stunning flagship store, Ace & Tate welcomes curious visitors – with or without visual impairments – in keeping with the brand style: distinctive and striking, a high-contrast interior design snakes across two stories in wood, concrete, and metal. Mirrored ceilings and floors play with light, as do the models of the new SS16 collection, also developed in cooperation with New Tendency.
