CLAUSTROPHOBIA — BREAK FREE FROM FEAR IN SIXTY MINUTES

CLAUSTROPHOBIA — BREAK FREE FROM FEAR IN SIXTY MINUTES

Escape the room games are not a new phenomenon in Berlin; you’re trapped in a scenario for 60 minutes, and your challenge is to solve a series of clues in order to break your way out. I’ve tried a couple of them, but Claustrophobia has a clear edge. It’s dedicated to creating the most visually stimulating and physically immersive games – ones that make you feel as though you are completely lost in another world. Their new space at Alexanderplatz offers two different scenarios: the Museum of Contemporary Art, where you must conduct a stealthy midnight heist, and Vault 13, where you are a futuristic survivor of nuclear war attempting to break out of a decaying underground shelter. Their focus is on the props and scenery, with incredible attention to detail. I had a fantastic time here with a brilliant team on hand to help with the slightly trickier parts, and as we were only two players I recommend going with three or four people and doing your best to crack the codes, and be out in an hour. Sixty minutes starts now! (Text: Antonia Harris)
