IT’S HERE: THE PERFECT GLUTEN-FREE SOURDOUGH THANKS TO AERA BREAD

Always eating standard bread made from wheat or rye? Try again! Thanks to Aera Bread, you can fill your breakfast plate with a nourishing blend of flours from teff, brown millet, rice and corn. In 2014, Ava Celik discovered that she had celiac disease causing gluten intolerance, and a life without bread was simply unimaginable. The actress quickly left the film industry and devoted herself to baking bread with the daring goal to create a gluten-free alternative that tastes just like the real deal. After two years of trial and error, Ava finally found the perfect recipe, and in December 2018, opened her own (breathtakingly beautiful) café on Charlottenburg’s Fasanenstraße. There, she bakes and sells fresh, homemade loaves that have everything you want: light and fluffy on the inside, but with that crispy outer crust. Come see it yourself and be convinced by her stunning bakery – maybe even catch her baking in the back.
