ANGIE ZIEHMANN ON “THE T-SHIRT ISSUE”

Here I’m going to present you a sneak preview by good friends of mine: “T-Shirt Issue” ‘cuz they are going to launch HOT SHIT quite soon. The T-Shirt issue is a creative collective of people with different backgrounds who are all drawn to the same triangular polygon. This geometric shape is the building block of all the clothing they make, whether it’s conceptual or wearable. With this philosophy they managed to break the code of the ordinary T-shirt, resulting in extraordinary findings in patternmaking and clothing construction. Working from the garment’s core instead of just its exterior opened a path to an unparalleled aesthetic freedom which they use to reconstruct basic apparel, shape 3D pieces and play with pretty much everything in between. So they can stir every piece of fabric into any shape imaginable to detach the T-shirt from its uniformity, but stick to jersey to make the technology behind it soft and approachable.
