The PSM Gallery (part of abc with works by Thomas Chapmann) is showcasing a sound installation by the Berlin-based Swedish artist Sophie Erlund. Her work “This House Is My Body” echoes the demolition of houses and buildings. Using contact microphones, she recorded houses being torn down and arranged them into a 17-minute track built around a classic symphonic structure. This soundscape will be played through directional loudspeakers in a dark space. As you witness the breakdown of a body – a house – you will certainly experience something unexpected.
