Spring is approaching, and Berlin feels more expansive than ever. Between Vietnam, Indonesia, Greece, and northeastern Syria lie just a few subway stops. Also on the agenda: posthuman desires, solidarity pop-ups, and a new dancefloor on the Avus. Here are CC’s Calendar tips for Berlin this weekend. The weekend kicks off with an exhibition exploring bodies, technology, and identity. At Scope BLN, Technology of Desire – Queer Relations in the Posthuman Age opens on Friday (13.03.2026). Curated by Boris Kostadinov, the group exhibit work by Chang Gao, Jane Garbert, and many others. The exhibition revolves around the question: What happens to queer lived identity when bodies are not only physical, but digitally, biometrically, or technologically extended? Afterwards, it’s worth taking a stroll down Reichenberger Straße. At Coro on Friday (13.03.), Small Plates are back. Dauwd serves a menu of ceviche, duck tataki, smoked tofu, and other dishes perfectly sized for sharing, tasting, and lingering. Maryama from African Acid Is The Future provides the soundtrack. Next door, Greece celebrates a grand opening. File Asto opens its second delicious location on Friday (13.03.) along Reichenberger Straße under the motto “simple is Greek”. On the western edge of the city, a new chapter emerges for Berlin’s club scene. C115 opens in the historic grandstand of the Avus, Germany’s oldest automobile racetrack. For Edition 01 on Saturday (14.03.), Lena Willikens and Regularfantasy will be behind the decks. Capacity is limited for now. From the racetrack, the journey continues to Wedding (and to Vietnam). At Klub Maison, May and Alice M. Huynh present their joint exhibition CÀ RỀ, CÀ RÊ for the first time on Saturday and Sunday (14–15.03.).
Installations and footage on Super 8, 35mm, and 120mm film were captured during five weeks in Vietnam. The title, in Vietnamese, describes doing something without hurry — a pace meant to guide viewers through the works. Another stop on this little world tour is in Kreuzberg. On Saturday (15.03.), a second-hand pop-up on Falkensteinstraße will offer clothing, bags, and accessories. If you’re decluttering, you can also donate. All proceeds go via medico international to aid projects in Rojava in northeastern Syria. Finally, it’s time for the table! The weekend ends with a taste of Indonesia. On Monday (16.03.), Rantang Berlin will be a guest at Ma-Makan for a Bukber pop-up. Inspired by Buka Bersama, the Indonesian tradition of breaking the fast together during Ramadan, the evening starts with lunch à la carte and continues with a three-course iftar — a table where everyone is welcome.
