It’s hard to believe, yet it’s true: the building of the legendary Spoiler Aktionsraum in Moabit will be demolished at the end of August 2024, and the project, which has been the driving force behind Berlin’s off-space scene for years, will close for good. If you want to say goodbye or if you’ve never made it there but want to join in the conversation when people reminisce about the wild times at parties, you should hurry. One of the last shows will take place as part of the Project Space Festival this Friday (07.06.) at 8 pm. Cloud9 is the name of the performance by Collectif Blitzbereit and Mother, who will be making their shared longing to touch a cloud come true. As expected, the content is about dreams, goals, longings, and harsh reality. This appropriate theme is explored by several performers, a lot of candy floss, and a space-filling stage set. At the end of the evening, there will be nothing left but the sticky bodies of the participants with sugar clinging to them, like our memories of the wild evenings in Moabit.
