Towards the end of 2015 we launched our Cee workshop series, the Cee Cee Lessons, with the intention of presenting product designers, entrepreneurs and experts within our community, bringing people together in order to learn from them. After the first two exciting installations, focusing on concrete and tea, the next event will now be dedicated to one of the most basic and natural of all materials — wood. We have teamed up with designer Rainer Spehl, a talented Berlin-based artist who has been working here since 2003. At his studio in Brunnenstrasse he creates furniture and other wooden objects, including his most famous piece: the wooden laptop case (of course). He is the perfect choice to introduce this topic to us, and like before, the lesson will connect creative energies and allow us all to learn from each other. In our “Wood” workshop this Saturday (9.4.2016) we will – together with our partner Bulleit – whittle and carve until our hands are aching, in order to take home our own unique pieces at the end of the day.
