Upon Paper is a new artist platform created in Berlin with contributors from around the globe. They just released their first Upon Paper Magazine and celebrated the opening of their project space in Mitte, where they will organize exhibitions and events with themes from the magazine and online. Written in German and English, the biannual magazine is curated like an art portfolio and comes in a ginormous size of 49x69cm. Each publication follows a theme with contributions from artists, designers and creatives from all fields. The first issue featured LA and artists such as David Hockney, Jayne Mansfield, Raymond Pettibon, Doug Aitken, Mark Lee, Gary Shapiero & more. Available since Monday at selected magazine and book stores such as Buchhandlung Walther König.
