You might consider shooting a film in vertical format as a public relations coup. But there’s more to Xavier Dolan’s work than this. The 25 year old Canadian director knows how to turn simple stories into intense tales. Whether he’s a genius or not; go find out for yourself tomorrow. His debut film “I killed my mother” (trailer) will be shown as well as his new work “Mommy” (trailer), hitting cinemas in Germany next week, at Babylon Kreuzberg.
