There is a new award in town called JungArt Berlin, an event dedicated to artists from age 21 to 35. The jury made selections from over 800 applicants down to 68 and the chosen works will be on exhibition during a three-day festival held at Alte Münze. The winner will receive a 5000€ check plus a solo exhibition at the Jung Art Gallery during the next Gallery Weekend in 2012. Tonight is its first ceremony and opening; supporting programs will be offering work shops, lectures and screenings. In addition, bands such as Raz Ohara and Yarah Bavo performing live coupled with DJs will surely offer an opportunity to dance your night away.
