A TRIP TO BRITZER GARTEN

A TRIP TO BRITZER GARTEN

The company that runs the “Britzer Garten“ calls them “Zauberblüten” (miracle flowers). OK that’s sounds a little kitsch, but the beautiful rhododendron flowers, currently in full blossom, are indeed something to wonder and marvel at. The area next to the little grove is perhaps the nicest spot in the park that was built for a German garden show in 1985 and has somewhat artificial characteristics. Entering via Buckower Damm is recommended as well as bringing your own food and picnic blankets along: food stands are overpriced and the snacks don’t look especially appetizing there. Don’t forget to check out the remote controlled boats on the lake.

Admission: 2€ (children 6-14 y. 1€, under 6 y. free), cashiers are open from 9-16h; Park opening hours: daily from 9h until dark; Britzer Garten, Buckower Damm 170, 12349 Berlin-Britz, map
