FUNDAMENTAL BERLIN: DISCOVER PLAYFUL & SOPHISTICATED PIECES

Sharp lines, stunning patterns, and unique textures come together seamlessly in everything Fundamental Berlin creates, and with one glance it’s obvious that the minds behind these designs started out in architecture. Since 2011, Gunnar Rönsch and Stephen Molloy have been producing mathematically inspired pieces – from tables to shelves, frames to vases. Their bespoke brick-and-mortar shop and café gives you the chance to see, feel and try out their whimsical products. After grabbing a bite from the Italian and Portuguese bistro Octo, sip on a shot of Italian espresso or a glass of wine from the bar and browse freely — perhaps picking out new pieces for home or as gifts. As for us: we fell in love with their recent “Benzin“ series and the “Switch” wire baskets that we think of as a “Berlin classic“. If you need more time, take home a catalog which Cee Cee Creative (the agency behind this newsletter) recently designed. Not merely meant for showcasing their product range, the catalog aims to inspire you to add a pop of playfulness to your home, and features testimonials and glimpses into the lives of Fundamental Berlin fans, like Tutia Schaad — amongst others.
