BERLIN PHOTO WEEK: CELEBRATING PHOTOGRAPHY AND LEARNING FROM THE MASTERS

BERLIN PHOTO WEEK: CELEBRATING PHOTOGRAPHY AND LEARNING FROM THE MASTERS

This week is the start of Berlin Photo Week (10.–13.10.2019), bringing together artists from across the globe to celebrate all things photography. Back for its second year, the festival is already staking its claim in the not-to-miss calendar. There will be events around the city, but the week centers around Kraftwerk Berlin, with three floors to explore. Highlights include The Funplace, with interactive installations to create your own photographs, and The Exhibition which includes works by renowned photographer Thomas Hoepker and Berghain’s Sven Marquardt. Meanwhile The Conferencefeatures two days of talks from industry experts. The week concludes with the presentation of the annual EyeEm Photo Awards, the biggest photography competition in the world with a party to match. If that’s not enough, there will be gallery openings, photo walks and workshops held around the city as well. Whether you’re an amateur photographer, a professional, or simply an admirer, it’s the perfect place to come across new images and the stories behind them.
