Porridge, whatever the time of day? Yes you can, thanks to Haferkater. This trio of cafés is turning the hearty, hangover-busting Scottish breakfast dish into a base for an exciting array of flavor and texture combinations, ranging from the healthy (seeds, nuts, fruit) to the decadent (syrups, chocolate, coconut). Satisfy your sweet tooth with the caramel, fruit and almond bowl, or indulge in the whipped goat’s curd and pear with walnuts, honey and thyme. For those craving a lighter boost of energy, salads also grace the menu. Having opened its first branch in Friedrichshain and expanded to a cart satiating hungry travelers at Hauptbahnhof, Haferkater has just opened its third branch on Eberswalderstraße. To celebrate, they’re throwing an opening party tomorrow (23.6.17) from 16h onwards, and you’re invited.
