Browsing through the names of the yoga classes at Har Studio, you know immediately that this place does things a bit differently. Whether it’s the Transpersonal Dynamic Flow or the Yin Healing Journey, the sessions at this Kreuzberg studio serve up a body-mind experience that’s worlds apart from your standard vinyasa drop-in. Safe and clear instruction is provided by an open-minded team of 24 teachers, whose classes have strong spiritual elements but always remain easy-going. The venue is a spacious loft-like space located in a red brick Hinterhof just off Urbanstraße. It gets its name from founder Eugenia “Euge” Har, who is herself a Kundalini teacher and uses gongs and singing bowls to soothe the body in her sound healing sessions. She started the project in 2019 after her classes outgrew the space she was renting. Euge designed the new studio herself, giving it a vibe that is contemporary and understated: you won’t find any multicolor boho tapestries here. Sound and music is a key part of many of the sessions, from the Crystal Bowl Sound Bath (where you spend a cozy hour immersed in sound) to this Friday’s special Full Moon Recalibration, which features tuning forks and Tibetan bowls. The event promises to use sound to restore the natural resonance of body and mind which, at the end of a busy work week, really is music to the ears…
