CAFFEINE-INFUSED CLASSICAL: LUNCHTIME ESPRESSO CONCERTS

CAFFEINE-INFUSED CLASSICAL: LUNCHTIME ESPRESSO CONCERTS

Need to recharge your batteries over lunch, or take an inspiring breather after a sightseeing trip through the city? May we point you in the direction of the Konzerthaus ticket counter — if only for the sake of the architecture itself. A mere walk across the building’s foyer feels like a trip back in time. The Konzerthaus’s lunchtime Espresso Concerts, held at 14h on Wednesdays, last 45 minutes, or a little longer — depending on the encore — and showcase young talents from across the international classical music scene. Our visit also included a few quips and anecdotes in between pieces. Whilst we were listening, our eyes couldn’t help fixate on the breathtaking ceiling paintings and ornaments decorating the concert hall. All in all, a trip to an Espresso Concert makes for an extraordinary lunch break. As for the caffeine hit, included in the ticket price, well that takes care of the rest.
