Established in 2018, Kunst100 is helping to make the art market more accessible for everyone through its online art gallery. What began as a collection of 20 pieces in founder and managing director Lila Nettsträter’s living room, the market is now home to over 60 artist portfolios. The Schöneberg-based startup is invested in the wider context of the pieces it sells, taking a real interest in the inspiration and drive behind the artists’ works and placing importance on individual artworks rather than reputations. As part of this, the team has created an app that helps artists get discovered and track their progress in sales. Having started with just Berlin-based artists, the platform has now built an international portfolio of works that emphasizes diversity. As an advocate for both artist and buyer, Kunst100 ensures pieces are sold at a fair price that both parties are happy with. And it’s not just artworks that you can find here: the site also provides art advice with free one-to-one online consultations.
