MESSE IN ST. AGNES — VIEWING AND BIDDING AT THE ART FAIR FROM KÖNIG GALERIE

MESSE IN ST. AGNES — VIEWING AND BIDDING AT THE ART FAIR FROM KÖNIG GALERIE

When it comes to art, the place where you see it can have as much impact on you as the work itself. And regular visitors to the König Galerie will know that its home in the brutalist St. Agnes church is a truly unique space for art. This makes König’s latest fair – the Messe in St. Agnes running until 26.06.2020 – all the more exciting. The nine-day exhibition and sale gives you the chance to see and buy art in person, including works from König’s selection for this year’s online-only Art Basel. Also on show are examples from a century’s worth of art, with a total of 100 works and editions including by Elmgreen & Dragset, Alicja Kwade, Neo Rauch, Daniel Richter, Isa Genzken, Martin Kippenberger, Otto Piene and Katharina Grosse. For a break from browsing, nourishment of the highest order is offered courtesy of Nobelhart & Schmutzig, while printed materials can be picked up from art bookshop and publisher Walther König. Whilst there, don’t forget to step back and take in the venue – a 1967 concrete masterpiece. (Text: Benji Haughton / Photos: Roman März & König Galerie)
