LINGERIE & SELF-DETERMINATION — COME AS YOU ARE WITH CC’S CALENDAR TIPS

LINGERIE & SELF-DETERMINATION — COME AS YOU ARE WITH CC’S CALENDAR TIPS

Between fresh starts and dress codes, freehand sketches and Viennese lace — that’s this week in a nutshell. It’s definitely worth showing up for, and, yes, even worth shedding layers for. Here are CC’s calendar picks. At Haus am KleistparkCihan Çakmak‘s solo exhibition Leaving was the only option left opens Friday (23.01.2026). Through photographic self-portraits, video, drawings, and texts, the artist explores questions of origin and self-determination. Her work navigates familial imprint and inner tension — between the desire for belonging and the need to set boundaries. In Friedrichshain, another kind of farewell echoes through the speakers. Final Call marks the closure of zqm airways after three years of project work. Over the weekend (23.–25.01.), everyone who has shaped the space over the years will gather one last time, including Catharina SzonnMarta Djourina, and many more. Please make your way to the gate! If you need something to warm you up, Ma-Makan has you covered. Their Laksa Winter runs on selected days until 01.03.2026. The Nyonya laksa (coconut milk and chili based) warms as long as winter lingers: rich, creamy, and intensely spiced. In Prenzlauer Berg, two giants meet on Saturday (24.01.) at the Matcha & Tiramisu Pop-up, Japanese tea extract and Italian dessert are layered for maximum indulgence.

Behind it all are Atelier Kyo and Kenzy Club. The menu also features hojicha tiramisu, matching lattes, and classic usucha (a light, thin matcha). Plus, sneak peeks at upcoming workshops and supper clubs. On Saturday evening (24.01.), the Ring Bar turns into a conference room. Halb Kunst‘s Collective Drawing Performance stages itself as a business meeting, complete with suits and ties. Instead of minutes, drawings emerge; instead of small talk, collective action. The daily work routine isn’t caricatured here, but reimagined — playful and collaborative. Those who prefer to roam without a dress code (or without much on at all) can stop by the Soda City Tour on Wiener Straße starting Monday (26.01.). For almost two weeks, the space will be dedicated to Austria’s Soda Lingerie — an invitation for quick visits or longer stays, for self-love and fine fabrics. Show up and strip down!
