MESCHAC GABA: MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY AFRICAN ART

MESCHAC GABA: MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY AFRICAN ART

Want to combine an artsy afternoon with a healthy and yummy meal? Every Wednesday, the Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle offers a half-hour private guided tour and a vegan lunch combo at the museum for 9 Euros. On display now: the first of their ongoing collaboration with Tate Modern showcasing pieces from Meschac Gaba’s “Museum of Contemporary African Art”. He questions the view on contemporary African art and turns visitors into art pieces themselves. Additionally, as part of the show, artists are invited to host a dinner at the museum restaurant. Their second affair is scheduled for next Monday, hosted by Theo Eshetu from Ethiopia; starting with a private tour at 18.30h and followed by an Ethiopian dinner inside the museum. Art, culture and food go hand-in-hand. (Text: Sven Hausherr / Photos: Mathias Schormann)
