Nestled between galleries, the newly-opened café and restaurant Oliv Eat is serious about high-quality food and good-looking dishes. With a keen eye for detail and a background in interior design, co-owner Oliver Mahne’s personal style is reflected in the space: He designed the furniture, the floor, and feature wall, while the crockery is from a ceramicist he discovered in Cape Town. It is difficult to choose a favorite from their main menu, as all the food served here is mouth-watering: From the soups, to the baked goat cheese served on a delicious salad, to the beautifully-presented fish. On weekends you can find a special menu, with a variety of breakfast options served all day. After searching for the perfect carrot cake in Berlin for a while now, I finally found it at Oliv Eat. When this divine, fluffy cake is baked in their beautiful kitchen, the smell fills up the restaurant, wonderfully complementing the autumn season.
