Baby it’s cold outside (at least here in Germany it is), so let’s bring on some California breeze. Gardens & Villa is a band of five fancy boys from Santa Barbara performing great synth-pop; think psychedelic and add some wave sounds and a touch of Krautrock and there you go. Their music is spherical with monotone drums and… (!) pan flutes. Sounds like a hipster’s dream… or rather “looks like a hipster’s dream”(someone had once commented on the video for their track “Black Hills”) Lucky for us, there is a chance this Saturday to see this young band perform at West Germany before they’re hyped all over the world!
