TIFFIN: INDIAN FOOD DELIVERY IN BERLIN FOR FAMILY RECIPES AND COLORFUL SOUTH ASIAN CLASSICS

For years, South Asian food fans Sachin Obaid and Suleman Thakar kept asking the same question: why is it so difficult to find decent Indian food in Berlin? Their answer was to start up themselves with Tiffin, the Berlin Indian food delivery service that launched in November 2020. The focus here is comfort food, and the menu is strongly influenced by family recipes and dishes from the pair’s childhoods that they’ve missed so much. Take “My Mom’s Keema”, a slow-cooked stew that has the perfect blend of heartiness and spiciness. It is made with incredibly soft minced meat from a recipe passed down via several generations to Sule and now to your plate. From hand-kneaded naan and vegan aloo gobi to the tender leg of lamb cooked for eight hours, Tiffin’s freshly prepared, seasonal dishes are authentically spiced for a wide variety of Indian flavors. Completing the menu is an innovative drinks selection including craft beers (try the “All The Puppers” New England pale ale!) and small batch wines. To finish up, don’t forget the Kheer creamy rice pudding for an indulgent dessert. You won’t regret it!
