Striped, checkered, polka-dotted, floral or with little airplanes – if you’re looking for a certain kind of colorful printed fabric, you’ll definitely find it at Volksfaden. The little store in Schöneberg is specialized in patterned textiles and offers a vast selection of high-quality woven/jersey and organic cotton fabric. Multicolored grosgrain ribbons as well as inspirational sewing and DIY magazines complete the range. The New York-born owner Linda Gaylord has been living in Berlin for many years and started her business as an online shop a couple of years ago – the physical store in Schöneberg opened in July.
