FROM STAGES TO A GALLERY: KRAFTWERK AT SPRÜTH MAGERS

Kraftwerk are back! Well, at least on the walls of art gallery Sprüth Magers in Berlin from Friday onward. It is an exhibition on the fathers of electronic music with specially designed great looking/sounding 3D audio/video installation. Back in the 70’s, Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider founded the band in Düsseldorf; from the very beginning they considered their live acts as holistic works of art, created by sounds and images. In their first gallery exhibition, Kraftwerk combine their minimalist sounds with visual impressions, and bring the gallery space come to life. (Text: Laura Storfner / photos: *)
