If, like me, you’ve recently moved into a new apartment, you may be looking for one or two pieces for your home. Design classics are not a must but always a good choice, which is why it’s worth popping into Smow on Kurfürstenstraße, where there’s a design sale until 15.03.2025. The sale will feature work by Thonet, Vitra, Muuto, Kartell and USM Haller, to name a few. From there, I’ll be dancing on to the Kink — inspired by David Mancuso’s legendary “Loft” parties in New York — the bar will be transformed into a dance floor for one day (16.03.) with Island Universe providing the line-up. And if you dance all day long, you’ll need a pick-me-up. Gather in the Ringbar is hosting a “Women’s only Pub Roast” (16.03.), practically an extension of the feminist fight day. Everyone who identifies as female, non-binary and/or queer is cordially invited. The food, by Ruhi Amin, will include chaat masala pork scratchings, tandoori cauliflower, Punjabi pickles and much more. Each dish is inspired by an important woman in Roo’s life. From eating together to painting in a cozy atmosphere. Next up is “Still Life Drawing” — their next session will take place on 20.03. at The Boys Club Berlin. Lots of Broth and Zhodi Tesfa will lead the evening and everyone is welcome (no previous experience necessary). Once you’ve shouldered Alvar Aalto’s Stool 60 and filled your belly with Indian delicacies, all that’s left to say is, “what a great weekend”!
