WILLIAM FAN ARCHIVE SALE CURATED BY ZORA AUGUSTE — HAND-SELECTED FASHION PIECES, CERAMICS & MORE

WILLIAM FAN ARCHIVE SALE CURATED BY ZORA AUGUSTE — HAND-SELECTED FASHION PIECES, CERAMICS & MORE

Hand-selected – that’s what describes Zora Auguste best. In the past few years we have gotten to know and love the “gallery” concept that the fashion and design project’s founders Nella Beljan and Marie Wez have developed. Now the pair have finally found a home at a wonderful room on Leipziger Strasse which features a high concrete ceiling that is well suited to their carefully curated selection of pieces. What can you expect? Ceramics (both as art and as design objects), table lamps, candles that look like light sculptures, and metallic book stands that wouldn’t look out of place on the desk of Walter Gropius. You’ll also find interior pieces courtesy of William Fan, who acquired them from his Hong Kong-born mother. But that’s not the main reason the Berlin designer is there.

The venue will also welcome garments from William’s current fashion collection plus archive pieces that Nella and Marie have selected to match the Zora Auguste vibe. Expect a color palette of off-whites, beiges, caramels and navy. There are beautiful blouses in fine fabrics with unexpected details, wide-cut trousers, ensembles and some real statement pieces including a long sequin dress. Sophisticated, refined and yet laid-back is the spirit that William’s clothes – and the whole collection – convey. There’s another reason to visit, though: the archive sale’s special pricing. A good time to start your own collection, we think.
