For anyone feeling a chill in the late-summer-like temperatures, here’s your chance to help warm up a bit. This weekend, the mulled wine clouds are gathering, along with opportunities to find your last gifts of the season. At Atelier Gardens, creative warmth is overflowing. The Winter Market takes over the entire campus, with open studios, screenings, performances, and hands-on activities. Visitors can dive into mushroom cultivation, mix natural dyes, listen to choirs, and get crafting (don’t let the Christmas card go extinct!). Pre-registration is required. Even more buzz at Moritzplatz. The Aufbau Haus invites you to its Bazaar, a winter weekend (12–13.12.2025) of open studios, design treasures, and creative minds. On the city terrace, find Süper Store, Hallo Keramik, and Zelt Berlin, plus guests like Ahrens Ahrens and Rud Atelier. Inside, illustrator Elisabeth Moch draws live, the Moritzplatz bookstore hosts Heike Faller for a reading (cookies included), and at Modulor, you can try your hand at brush lettering. Next stop: Modus in Charlottenburg. Here, furnishing is a statement and a conscious choice for quality and material. Their Saturday pop-up (13.12.) turns the showroom into a small Advent refuge filled with Berlin-based manufacturers. Among colorful woven baskets, architectural jewelry, and ceramics, the best part is meeting the designers in person, and, of course, soaking up the festive spirit. For those seeking gifts consisting of art, reading, and good conversation, Grau Magazin presents its new winter edition on Saturday (13.12.). Waffles and mulled wine start the afternoon, followed by music, drinks, and, naturally, the new issue featuring talks on art, politics, and design with Alicja Kwade, Forma Fantasma, and many more.
Heading toward Tempelhofer Feld: Johanna Gauder opens her studio on Schillerpromenade for a Winter Market pop-up. This Neukölln apartment building transforms into a small cabinet of wonders on Saturday & Sunday (13.–14.12.), featuring stainless steel objects, ceramics, jewelry, glass design, and bags curated by Anoem Elliou, Bachner Vessels, Johanna Gauder herself, and others. Looking for a Christmas market with a twist? This is the one. If you’re starting to get into the swing of things, Cashmere Radio has you covered. The Cosmic Tropical Crowdfunding Xmas kicks off on Saturday (13.12.) and runs until midnight, on air and in person (address via DM). Between tropical buffet, mulled wine, and a wild radio program (from Country Christmas to experimental sounds), the highlight is the grand raffle. Prizes include Cashmere merchandise, tickets to the Transmediale Festival, and a few surprises. Wrapping up the day, Sōydivision opens the doors of the 20nine30 exhibition space at Paul-Linke-Ufer on Saturday (13.12.) for its Annual Closing. All the year’s recordings are played, the new Soy&Zine issue is on display, and a Community Holiday Market crowns the gathering. Drop by for pure festive fun. Entry is free; donations are welcome. On Sunday (14.12.), Rhinower Straße becomes the coziest corner of Prenzlauer Berg. Gourmet expert Terese hosts its annual Christmas market. Inside, mulled wine and sweet crêpes steam, while outside, the scent of fondue in baguette and Leberkässemmeln fills the air, accompanied by Christmas beer from Brauerei Schönram. Those needing raclette or fondue for the holidays can pre-order until 15.12. And after the third Advent comes the fourth. On Tuesday (16.12.), settle into Studio Jumi at one of their weaving looms, sipping hot mulled wine. The event is called Advent Weaving. Those interested can book a slot to weave, while others can browse the studio sale for fine little things: handwoven tableware, postcard sets, or workshop vouchers.
