COWORKING, COMMUNITY, CELLO CONCERTS — TIPS FOR YOUR WEEKEND

COWORKING, COMMUNITY, CELLO CONCERTS — TIPS FOR YOUR WEEKEND

Where are new spaces for creativity opening up? How good does Italian wine taste in Kreuzberg? And what does a cello concert sound like in the largest open space in the city center? We’ve got a few questions for the weekend and we’d love for you to answer them. Schmitd kicks things off with a two-day pop-up (23–24.05.) that has it all: fashion, flowers, art, and a local designer line-up. The sustainable label, which works with production surpluses, invites you to Prenzlauer Berg. After refreshments at Sirene, meet the designers behind the collections, with brands such as A.D.Deertz and Flowers and Moods among them. Another creative chapter is written in Schöneweide where the inclusive artisan platform Drillerqueens is opening its new Bang Bang Studios — a space for community, creativity, and DIY. Starting now, workshops and coworking sessions will happen here, all within a safe space open to anyone who wants to create, experiment, or start something of their own. At its core, this space celebrates one thing: collective spirit. They’re kicking things off this Saturday (24.05.) with an opening party, expect music, snacks, and a fresh look. In addition to all things new, there’s something familiar…

Andreas Murkudis invites you to his annual charity market on Sunday. All proceeds go to local initiatives supporting women*, children, and young people affected by violence — organizations like Wildwasser e.V. and KuB Berlin. A colorful mix of ready-to-wear, accessories, books, furniture, and art awaits — carefully selected by Andreas Murkudis, friends, and brands. And this Sunday (25.05.), all Berlin cellists are invited to Tempelhofer Feld for a musical flash mob. Feldbeben is making the field resonate (literally) and standing up for one of the city’s most special creative spaces. With support from the Deutsches Symphonie-OrchesterAtze Musiktheater, and the initiative 100% Tempelhofer Feld, four pieces will be performed. If you’ve got a cello, a music stand, and a black T-shirt, just show up for rehearsal one hour before the performance. (Meeting point: the meadow behind Luftschloss.) And after the weekend? Good wine can also be sipped on a Tuesday (27.05.). As a preview of the upcoming Berlin Wine Fest, Sublime Wine is hosting a tasting of selected Italian wines, and they need your help. At the Berlin Wine Fest Warm-up, the Kreuzberg-based wine shop will guide you through six Italian varieties. The wines you taste there might appear again at Mezzacantina during the festival. Hopefully, you’ve found a few answers — for your closet, your ears, and a good cause.
