SUBTLE SHADES FOR EVERY WALL — LIMEWASH PAINTS FROM BAUWERK COLOUR

SUBTLE SHADES FOR EVERY WALL — LIMEWASH PAINTS FROM BAUWERK COLOUR

Giving your apartment a well-deserved zhoosh up is a satisfying way to spend time indoors, and paint in particular can really transform your surroundings. We often find regular Baumarkt paints lack depth and subtlety, which is why we were glad to learn about the limewash colors from the Bauwerk Colour team at a lovely dinner with our friends from Woodboom and Taube Grau. Limewash is a traditional paint made from calcium carbonate that gives a natural, matte finish to your walls. Originally from Perth, Australia, Bauwerk now offer their sustainably-sourced, solvent-free paints in Germany from their online shop. The shades are as diverse as they are tasteful, from the light bright “Pineapple” yellow, the mellow “Elkhorn” gray – perfect for the living room – and the soothing “Leek” green. If you aren’t quite sure what hue to pick, you can upload a photo to get color matches, with color cards and sample pots available for simple swatching. Time to get out your brush and roller and give your walls new life. (Text: Benji Haughton / Photos: Melissa Team Tonkin, Raphael Bartke & Bauwerk Colour)
