A new newsletter, a new weekend, and three new openings: this time we’re heading to Wedding where the group exhibition “…” is opening this afternoon (07.07.2022) at the Tropez art space. The show’s (non) title is a reference to the dots you see on your phone when someone writes you a message. The Tropez outdoor area at the Humboldthain swimming pool will be home to works by Ana Alenso, Grit Burmeister & Franzi Kleinert, Samira Hodaei, Lungiswa Gqunta, Isa Melsheimer, Nadim Vardag and Shira Wachsmann. The theme: the current state of the world and how it defies expression. The opening ends at 19h when the pool closes – after which you can head over to Lobe Block. There you can join a panel with Sascha Ehlert (Das Wetter), who will sit down with Karen Boros, Francesca Ferguson, Davit Giorgadze, Mustafa Khybari and David Riemer for the opening of “angels on a horseback” by Huître 3.
Curators Claire Koron Elat and Shelly Lea Reich have gathered works by the likes of Ed Atkins, Hannah Sophie Dunkelberg, Kristina Nagel, Chloë Saï Breil-Dupont and Tobias Spichtig for the show. If you can’t make it tonight then there’s more art tomorrow (08.07.) with the third edition of the nomadic exhibition series 0-0-1-0 Exhibitions. The 1.OG 131 gallery space on Chauseestraße will be hosting an all-night affair with a group exhibition and party until 3h. You’ll find works by Fette Sans, Alizee Gazeau and Grigori Dor curated by Noelia Gaite, with the exhibition title, “vaporwave issue”, suggesting a theme of digital tech in art and how it can be dispassionately dissected.
