There are plans to turn the historic grounds of Tempelhof into “a structured, urban park” in the near future. So please enjoy the current vast meadow-meets-runway feel while it lasts. On your way home choose the exit at Oderstrasse/Herrfurthstrasse and take a break at “Engels”. The café/bistro/bar has opened recently and offers the full program: from breakfast to a little lunch menu, delicious cake in the afternoon, pasta in the evening and drinks at night. Style and service are equally nonchalant and charming, thus “Engels” is the go-to place in the not-yet-so-popular nor hipsterized Schillerkiez.
