MAKING THEMSELVES HEARD — LILA PODCAST MARKS TEN YEARS OF FEMINIST CONVERSATIONS WITH LIVE EVENT

It’s been around since 1911, celebrated on 8th March since 1921 and marked with a public holiday (at least in Berlin!) since 2019. We are, of course, talking about International Women’s Day. To mark the occasion, there will be a very special live recording of the Lila podcast at The Playce on Potsdamer Platz. Since launching the show in 2013, hosts Laura Lucas, Lena Sindermann, Katrin Rönicke and Susanne Klingner have been discussing the hottest issues and debates around feminism. During the live show you will have the opportunity to join the debate and ask your own questions. What do feminist politics look like? What is the role of language in feminism? And how can we improve the media’s portrayal of women? All this and more will be the subject of the live episode in which the hosts will reflect on feminism in the last decade: the progress, the challenges and the ongoing drive for equality. After the show, you can join the hosts for a get-together with drinks and R&B/Neo-Soul music from Novine. Sound like your vibe? You can register for the free event online.
