AL ANDALOS — NEUKÖLLN’S FALAFEL SANCTUARY

AL ANDALOS — NEUKÖLLN’S FALAFEL SANCTUARY

Almost a Berlin classic: falafel. But where to go, when you can get it at nearly every street corner? We say: Neukölln, of course. At Al Andalos, don’t be fooled by its unassuming exterior: nothing can prepare you for its hectic and vivacious indoors. The smell of orange and mint is in the air, but also that of grilled meat, while the staff is always up for a bit of banter. Most importantly, this hummus is heavenly, and the falafel, in combination with pickled spinach and aromatic lentils, is just the way it should be: hot, crispy, delicious. Add some vegan sesame sauce, and we’re won over. Al Andalos sure makes the search for the best midnight-snack-falafel – and the next day’s hangover – a lot easier. Meet-up spot: Sonnenallee!
