The Polish boarder is pretty close to Berlin and thus there’s quite a few people here who understand Polish. If you are one of them, you should discover BuchBund, a store specializing in Polish books. As for the rest of us – not to worry, owner Marcin cares about us Krauts too and offers German literature as well. Buchbund to me is the ideal place to search for gifts since the selection is vast but not overwhelming. And there’s Marcin: the calm and patient man at your service. Additionally the café in the back of the store is a gem; here you can sit and relax, have a chat, read or simply watch the Neukölln crowd pass by.
