A classic surrealist parlor game takes on an exciting form at Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien this Friday, where the vernissage of group show “Cadavre Exquis” will present some of the freshest perspectives in photography. Involving 31 photographers over 155 days, the project saw its curators invite participants to take on the game of image association, “cadavre exquis” or “exquisite corpse”. Each artist’s work had to respond to the previous photographic contribution, manifesting in a printed photo within a five-day time frame. The entire photographic series will be unveiled for the first time not only to the public, but to the photographers themselves, who until now have only witnessed the previous photo in the chain. Trying to envisage how it’ll all look? Come by on Friday to find out! (Text: Anna Dorothea Ker / Photos: André Wunstorf)
