Forever blurring the boundaries between culture, art and retail, the innovative concept mall Bikini Berlin is welcoming spring with an immersive art piece that transforms its interior into an ocean of eye-popping color. “When the Sky Meets the Earth” is a dazzling two-part paper installation by French artist Mademoiselle Maurice which turns the mall upside down with its display of 5,700 origami cubes on the ceiling and birds on the floor. On until 30.4.2017, the exhibition also invites visitors to become part of the artwork on site by following a short set of video instructions to craft their own origami bird to join the flock.
