CLAUDIA MARIA ZENK RECOMMENDS: APRIL FIRST

CLAUDIA MARIA ZENK RECOMMENDS: APRIL FIRST

Given the current state of the world, it may seem frivolous to talk about really needing new clothing. But Carolin Dunkel has created a small universe of items that will sorely tempt any shopper, in her refined new store, April First. She designed the interior herself, from the exquisite marble staircase and the brass wardrobes to the droll velvet seats, and a truly unique petrified wooden stool resembling marble, all of which are also available for purchase. What sets April First apart from other classic fashion stores is also the fact that Carolin knows her designers personally, such as Hironae (Paris) or Ulla Johnson (New York). When her old friends from New York visit Berlin, they often say: “Finally, we can buy from your closet”. And yes, she herself says, “I only sell things I would wear myself”. Ever since the shop opened on the first of April, Carolin has been continuously looking for new discoveries. We can’t wait to see what she’ll be bringing to Auguststraße next.
