As summer is nearing its end, this weekend will be your last chance to visit the open air theater in Weißensee (Freilichtbühne Weißensee), which is located on the banks of lake Weißer See. This Friday (2.9.2016), the cinema will be showing Victoria, a 2015 award-winning feature film directed by Sebastian Schipper and shot in Berlin in a single continuous take. At the season’s closing party on Saturday (3.9.2016), two 35mm surprise films will be screened, one for children and one for adults. Check out the full program here. (Text: Nicolene van der Walt)
