Not a loud start to July, but a relaxed get-together. There are hot dogs on hand, archive pieces for summer, and natural wine for the aperitif. Tonight (03.07.2025) sees the opening of the group exhibition Afterthought at the Bootshaus an der Spree. Twelve international artists will be showing works ranging from photography and sculpture to sound and text. DJ Jeremy J. will provide the musical accompaniment to the vernissage. Saturday (06.07.) is shopping day: the Soho House Archive Market celebrates its summer edition with seven Berlin vintage and archive stores. Archangels, Velvet Knife, and Endyma, among others, will present selected pieces to try on and take home. Culinary delights will kick off the weekend on Friday evening (05.07.) with a pop-up dinner at Aerde. Together with the South African format Sojourn, Chef and Junior Sommelier Dean and Aerde Chef Nick will serve a menu that combines natural wines from the Western Cape with seasonal sharing-style dishes. Saturday (06.07.) will be more informal. There will be snacks, (hopefully nice) conversations, and wine. The idea: a culinary reunion among friends.
Dotori is celebrating its birthday on Sunday (13.07.). Two years of Korean comfort food on Böckhstraße. To mark the occasion, The Sausage Man Never Sleeps will be serving hot dogs, Fi Power will be serving three types of ice cream sandos, and Skin2SkinContact will be playing music. The party starts at 2 pm and the kitchen will be open until 9.30 pm. Arrive early to get a place on the terrace. Film fans, pencil this in: the Summer Berlinale returns to the Freiluftkino Friedrichshain from July 8 to 11. Four festival highlights will be screened: Lesbian Space Princess, Christy, Holding Liat, and The Blue Trail. Great cinema in the open air, for everyone who wants to enjoy the Berlin summer to the fullest.
