MAYPOP — A REFRESHING APPROACH TO FLORISTRY

MAYPOP — A REFRESHING APPROACH TO FLORISTRY

If you were a bouquet, what would you look like? Extravagant, minimal or cute? What comes to mind when you’re searching for the perfect bouquet? The options are endless across Berlin, and for someone like me, it can be overwhelming to come up with ideas, know what you’re looking for, or make a decision. I’m a sucker for sunflowers and usually opt for the simple classic when I treat myself to blooms. Maypop has changed my tune, showing me the magic that transpires when I trust the florist and am open to experimentation. Watching Kati create a bouquet using her intuition was awe-inspiring, and it all starts with the flower selection. After I was drawn in from her street display, I stepped into her shop and immediately noticed the exclusive flower selection. The first word that came to mind was “wild”, a contemporary approach that evoked nostalgia for the wildflowers of my hometown. This is what immediately set Maypop Flowers apart and made me feel that I had a personal connection to the vision.

The flowers are carefully selected and curated by Kati, imported from local markets and other countries, such as the Netherlands. Her selection and sources are always changing, which adds to the excitement of what the next curation might bring. They can be limited and relatively minimal, but that’s what makes them so special. Kati’s sole drive is to avoid over-stocking and creating waste, ensuring every flower finds a home. Maypop offers a sustainable variety. It’s important that each customer has a bouquet or installation that is their own. Unique and customized results are what you’ll get. As we all know, flowers can be pricey, which is why a variety of price categories and arrangements to suit every need are available. Whether it’s a bouquet for a special occasion, something for home, or a larger installation for an event, chat with Kati about your vision and let her do what she does best and create a refreshing array of flowers.
