THE LONG NOW — MAERZMUSIK FESTIVAL ENDS WITH 30-HOUR HAPPENING

The Long Now is the closing event of this year’s MaerzMusik – Festival for Time Issues on March 24 and 25, 2018. For 30 hours, the audience will be able to lose all sense of time in an audiovisual perception room. Set against the rough backdrop of Kraftwerk Berlin, the project brings together concerts, performances, and installations. The clocked pace of our daily routines is relinquished and instead, we enter a time bubble that alters our perception of time and music. MaerzMusik‘s aim is to draw attention to this state, having focused on it in all previous editions of the festival. The musical spectrum offered ranges from avant-garde and experimental electronics to ambient and noise. The combination of the music and the architecture of the space allows for a unique experience. The Long Now makes us forget about the outside world and so we can indulge in the sonic here and now. Visitors are welcome to stay overnight: Beds will be provided.
