MALIN BERNREUTHER RECOMMENDS: BOSE PRINTS

MALIN BERNREUTHER RECOMMENDS: BOSE PRINTS

I recently stumbled upon Bose Prints during my last visit to Berlin. The recently opened, Berlin-based photography publisher is dedicated to making little known highlights from the history of photography accessible to a broader audience. Bose Prints was founded by Johanna Bose and offers an exquisite archive of true photographic treasures: Images of reading Hollywood stars and smiling geishas, bank robbery surveillance photos, photo-booth pictures, China’s first Pepsi-Cola bottle, and photographs of other curiosities. There is also a collection of scenes from the old Berlin dating to the 1920s and 1930s. My personal favorites are the falcon from the “Black&White” series as well as the Berlin bear in the snow from “Berlin West” – both of which are open editions. There is much more to be discovered on the website, including limited edition prints, original photos, and found photo books. If you want to expand your photo collection, are searching for that special gift or, like me, want to revamp your living room walls, you will definitely find what you need here.
