DISCOEAT — SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL WITH DINNER APP FEATURING FOOD FROM 150 BERLIN RESTAURANTS FOR DELIVERY AND PICKUP

It sounds too good to be true: free delivery fee and discounted meals from some of Berlin’s top restaurants. But that’s just what Discoeat lets you do. The restaurant app offers up to 30 percent off lunch and dinner collections from 150 of the city’s eateries during off-peak times, be it early or late. It’s a win-win: you save money on meals while local businesses gain much-needed customers during quieter times. Started in 2018 by Berlin foodies Moritz Heininger and Nicoló Luti, the platform’s city-wide selection has it all, from just-opened joints ripe for discovery to established eateries for the perfect pickup, including the likes of 1961 for eye-catching sushi and fusion cuisine plus poké bowls from Ma’loa. Moreover, during lockdown the Discoeat team are making a special effort to boost restaurant businesses: the site will not charge commission on any pickups or deliveries during the rest of 2020, and you can spread some extra love yourself by making a donation when ordering from your favorite eatery. What better way to support your local? (Text: Benji Haughton / Photos: Ma’Loa Poké Bowl, Unser Café Berlin & Mina Aichhorn)
