“Wow, what a shop!” — That was the thought that crossed my mind when I first entered this hairdressing salon on Luisenstraße, and it’s one I also heard come from the mouths of many other customers that day. After 10 years in Schöneberg, founders Daniela Mezzapesa and Simone Greve opened a second shop in the center of Berlin with a new slogan: “Salon Bordel! Born in Berlin”. Their commitment to dedicated craftsmanship and well as personable yet and professional customer relationships is reflected in the design of their new space — it wouldn’t look out of place in New York, or in Berlin’s golden ‘20s era. Even the quickest of glances through Salon Bordel’s large windows reveals the creativity of this business. The rooms present themselves with playful ease — they’re confident, elegant and quirky all at once. It’s no surprise that Bordel! now also has its own organic product line as well, developed true to the motto: “contains only what it should”. I recommend Salon Bordel! to anyone who values the artistry of Berlin design alongside the highest standards of hairdressing. (Text: Doro Müggler / Photos: Meyer|Ott)
